Crypt of the Habsburg palatines (viceroys)

The crypt, which is a consecrated space, may be visited only by prior arrangement and in the company of a guide, during the opening hours of the shows staged in the temporary exhibitions space on the ground floor of Building C.

Entrance to the Dome

The Dome is re-opened and it can be visited from Tuesday until Sunday (10 a.m.-5 p.m). A maximum of 15 people can attend the terrace at one turn for personal safety reasons. Tickets:1400 HUF (available at the Ground Floor desks)

LONG-TERM CLOSURES


We inform our visitors that because of reorganization, part of the permanent collection of "20th-century Art Before 1945" is closed.
Due to the refurbishment of certain exhbition halls, our collections "Medieval and Renaissance Stone Carvings", and "Panel Paintings and Wooden Sculptures from the Gothic Period" cannot be visited.

In order to grant a reproduction licence we require as much detail as possible about the intended use of the image. Please fill in the Image Request Form and return it by email, fax or mail to the Reproduction Office. Our Reproduction Office will process your request within two workdays.
Please be aware that the Image Request Form is not a purchase order!

The collection

The Photograph Archive of the Hungarian National Gallery holds approximately 60,000 black-and-white negatives and some 1000 slides. These photographs depict mostly works of art in its own collection.

Sponsorship and Events

The Hungarian National Gallery hires out its exhibition rooms for evening receptions of an appropriate standard. These may be of a standing or a seated kind. The fee depends on the type of event, the length of time it is expected to last, and the numbers attending.
