Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m to 6 p.m
Closed on Monday
Closing time of the cashiers: 5 p.m.

Last tickets for our exhibitions are sold as follows
Temporary exhibitions: 4.30 p.m. (It is highly recommended to count 1,5 hours to visit our temporary exhibitions.)
Permanent exhibition: 5 p.m.
The exhibition halls start closing at 5.30 p.m.


Dear Visitors! After a long-time closure period the Dome is re-opened. The Dome can host a maximum of 15 people at once and it is opened from Tuesday till Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. In case of bad weather conditions the Dome remains closed because of safety reasons. It is possible to visit only the Dome with a Single Ticket for 1400 HUF.


We inform our visitors that part of the permanent collection of "20th-century Art before 1945" is under reorganization.
Due to the refurbishment of certain exhibition halls, our collections of "Medieval Stone Carvings" cannot be visited.

The Hungarian National Gallery hires out its exhibition rooms for evening receptions of an appropriate standard. These may be of a standing or a seated kind. The fee depends on the type of event, the length of time it is expected to last, and the numbers attending.
